LESEDI CULTURAL VILLAGE HALFDAY TOUR

Lesedi Cultural Village is a tourist village that celebrates the cultural traditions of several different cultures of South Africa. It reproduces traditional dwellings and offers exhibitions of dances and other cultural activities. It is situated near Johannesburg, within the Cradle of Humankind, in Gauteng, South Africa. On arrival, guests are welcomed in a traditional African way. Lesedi Cultural Village is a living South African village where families from five major cultures (Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Basotho, and Ndebele) actually live. When you visit, you join a guided tour through their different homesteads, see how people live day-to-day, and then watch a big, energetic dance show with drumming and singing. You can also enjoy a big buffet of local food.

COLLECTION & DROP-OFF:
Any address in Johannesburg & Pretoria. The morning tour starts at 10:00 am & the afternoon tour at 15:00 pm.
HIGHLIGHTS:

ITINERARY:

• Guests will be picked up at 10:00 am or 15:00 pm at any address in Johannesburg or Pretoria.
• We then embark on a journey to the Lesedi Cultural Village, about an hour’s drive away.
• On arrival guests are welcomed with warm hands in an African style.
• 11:30—Guests start in the village, where they will visit five different villages, such as Zulus, Tswanas, South Sothos, Pedis, Ndebeles, and Xhosas.
• During the tour our site guides will be explaining about traditional ways of living, marriage customs, food, etc.
• Between 13h00 and 13h30—Drumming and dancing show.
• Guests will enjoy the drumming and dancing by different tribes.
